Renee Nicole Good

The woman killed by ICE today was a poet. She won the 2020 Academy of American Poets, University & College Poetry Prize at Old Dominion University.(And this is Renee from confirmed socials- a photo of a different woman with red lipstick is going around, but that was a classmate.) /

From one queer poet to another, may she rest in peace. 🕯️🌹

Also, may her family heal from this traumatic moment and be given justice and peace, and may her murderer be thrown under the jail for eternity.

Just…No Words

I lied. I got words.

What had just happened in Missouri yesterday should NOT have happened. It was a modern-day lynching, straight up. All those who allowed it to happen must not be forgotten when it’s time to serve justice up their callous, racist asses. (I’m being “clean” here, by the way.)

Also, to those blindly blaming Harris or Biden, I shall leave this and this here. There are also some free Civics classes you can take online.

And all my condolences to the family and friends of Marcellus. May they find justice and peace. 🕯️🌹

Rest In Power, Barbara

I think this tweet best showcases her legacy:

On a lighter note–and I could really use plenty of lighter notes these days–this bit also can’t be forgotten. Journalism and shade were served, honey!

Farewell to a real trailblazer and a true legend in her game.
