The Bauer Fountains at the LA Arboretum in Pasadena, CA.
I’m still on vacation, and before I pack up and head out to my next stop (I feel like I’m bouncing from one Airbnb to another), here are some cool sights (after the cut) from my first road trip/vacation since 2019!

The Saticoy Street building where The Office was filmed! The lot was gated off, so I wasn’t able to get up close and do my best Michael Scott impression. This was shot by me sticking my phone through the gate.

At the Hollywood and Highland shopping center…after midnight. As precarious as it sounds, I like going around Hollywood Blvd late night on a weekday night. No crowds and not many crazies around.

The Central Garden and Pond at the Getty Center–always a must-visit whenever I’m in LA!

Sweet treats at Sugar Free Shack in Torrance–a bakery for us low-carb/sugar-free sweet tooths!

Scented candles at the flagship Voluspa store in Fashion Island Newport Beach. As a scented candle lover (who prefers coconut/soy wax over paraffin in her candles), that store was paradise!

Picture Book Worm heaven: inside the Taschen bookstore on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills.

The world-famous Goodyear blimp, seen while stuck in traffic on 405 South in Gardena.

A Christmas tree, already up immediately after Halloween ends. (Waaaayyy too early for that.) From Del Amo Fashion Center, Torrance.

Sunset and sailing at Redondo Beach.

Lastly, a true work of art at a random art gallery in downtown LA!
More pictures coming soon…

[…] I know where I was a year ago. Five years ago. Ten years ago. The poolside cabin in Long Beach that was also my first vacation in three years. The top floor penthouse condo in Vegas where I had access to the roof and thus had 360-degree views of Vegas awesomeness, from the Strip to the surrounding mountains. The small apartment in the Hollywood Hills that boasted panoramic views from downtown to the Pacific and even Catalina Island. (Notice a little trend?) I certainly was not in my little Bay Area home to blow out the candles. […]
